Sometimes I just don't understand people. Not just people, but people that I know. It's a free country, and I am proud to live in it, but c'mon making Baghdad glow? America has lost it's balls since WWII? The conflicts that America is in engaged in now are much different than WWII, you can't apply the same tactics. What good would destroying Baghdad do? Baghdad is not filled with only enemies of America, that is like saying we should bomb the shit out of whichever U.S. city has the highest crime rate to get rid of the baddies. Oops, did we kill you, you must have been living too close to the criminals, sorry. "Terrorists" are everywhere, we don't have a shore to land on and send thousands of soldiers in to die for us.
WWII was not fought for the same reasons. The "terrorists" are religious fanatics, throughout history, the number one motivation for killing. The Japanese in WWII had somewhat of the same inspiration, and we know how they fought, but we also knew where they were, and it wasn't the sole basis for their fighting. I don't have the answers, but I know that dropping bombs anywhere and everywhere we feel is "bad" can have dire consequences. It's a sticky situation, and going in all John Wayne, guns blazing just ain't gonna work.
CHANGE. It happens! Everyday, every decade, every century is a new challenge. We have to learn to move with it, or we will eventually just be another fallen empire.
I probably sound like a lunatic, and my brother will say demasculated, but I think it takes more balls to admit your mistakes and try a different way than to continue down the same path.
Surely this will provide plenty of fodder for me and my loved ones to chew on over the pagan holiday.
Cheers.
Love to you all.
How did I turn out so different?

Look Ma. I'm blawgeeng!
I don't have a lot to say. ( C'mon everybody, lets hear it.......one big collective "NO SHIT!") I have never been a big talker, most of the time I am content listening (or pretending to listen) to other people do the talking. Sure, sure I may get a big mouth when I get boozed, but for the most part, I usually just shut the hell up. I don't know what it is about me, but I just really don't like talking about mundane shit with random strangers (Grocery store checkers please take note!). I know when the weather is good, or bad, so I really don't need these people to tell me, and I'm sorry but I don't care about their traffic woes, or any number of stoopid things that people want to talk about when they have nothing to talk about. What is it about people that makes them so god damned uncomfortable when no one is talking? Maybe I'm just an asshole, but I don't think so. If you have something interesting to say, by all means blurt it out, but don't just talk for the sake of talking.
Damn.
So anyway, blogging is sort of a wierd deal for me. I never feel like I have anything to say, because the lonely glow of a computer screen doesn't really inspire me to spew, but at the same time I am drawn to other peoples blogs. So therein lies a moral dilemma for me. Can I read everyone else's blogs without keeping up my own? Am I obligated to keep mine fresh, or is it ok to use them for my entertainment and not give back? And, why do they still have my blog ( and others) linked on their blogs when it has not been updated in a coons age? And what the hell is Nog exactly? That shit creeps me out.
So I have decided to continue to post something on this here blawg. Probably not as much as my lovely wife, but maybe weekly, when I am boozed up and loud mouthed.
Love to you all.
